Crispy Kale. Kale Crisps. Call them what you want but these are so easy to make and can be eaten as snacks or crumbled as a topping on other dishes. Fair warning, this take a long time to dehydrate but the results are great.

200g Kale

2 tsp Olive Oil

1 – 2 tsp Salt

1 tsp Black Pepper

1 Tbsp Tubbytoms Dragon Salt

Preheat oven to 52C Fan and line a Baking tray with baking paper.

Wash and dry the kale and then chop into 3cm slices.

Add the kale to a bowl with the oil and seasoning – either the Salt and Pepper OR Dragon Salt, not both.

Toss the Kale with a pair of tongs until all the leaves are covered with the oil and seasoning. It may not seem like a lot of oil, but it is plenty and a little goes a long way.

Pour the kale onto the baking tray and spread out.

Bake for 7 – 8 hours. At the low heat, you are looking to dehydrate rather than cook the kale.

Alternatively, an Air Fryer or Instant Pot can be used to dehydrate as they have this function built in.
